I.College Profile

Science and Technology College of Nanchang University, founded in August 2001, is an independent college approved by People’s Government of Jiangxi Province and the Ministry of Education of PRC. It is a full-time undergraduate college set by Jiangxi Zhonghang Gongqingcheng Industrial Co. Ltd. in collaboration with Nanchang University, a  comprehensive university listed among “the World First-class Disciplines” in the“Double First-Class”Initiative of China,   and falls into the category of First-Class Universities Construction Project of Jiangxi Province.

Science and Technology College of Nanchang University is located in Gongqingcheng City, Jiujiang, which is the only city in China named after the Communist Youth League. The college spans a campus area of 1,215 mu (approximately 80 hectares) with buildings covering 356,000 square meters. It features advanced facilities including a cloud-based computer center with 1,168 workstations, a modern student activity center, standardized language labs, an indoor gymnasium, sports fields, smart classrooms, and dormitories equipped with direct drinking water, hot shower facilities, and air conditioning. The campus houses 186 laboratories (training centers), an on-campus innovation and entrepreneurship park, and 113 off-campus practice bases. Its library holds over 900,000 paper books and 1.4 million e-books. With its spacious modern layout, cutting-edge teaching resources, and comprehensive living amenities, the campus provides exceptional conditions for over 15,000 students to pursue academic excellence and personal growth.

Since its establishment, the college has increasingly demonstrated distinctive educational features, significantly enhanced its comprehensive strength, and earned growing social recognition. It has been honored as “National Advanced Independent College”,  “National Top Ten Independent College,” and “National Top Ten Trustworthy Independent College” by authoritative organizations including the China Independent Colleges Association and China Higher Education Evaluation Center. Additionally, it has received accolades such as “Advanced Grassroots Unit for College Student Ideological and Political Work in Jiangxi Province”, “Outstanding Collective for Campus Safety in Jiangxi Universities”, and “Advanced Unit for Military Recruitment in Jiangxi Higher Education Institutions”.

III. Fee Standards

Tuition:Degree students: RMB 8,000 yuan /person/year，Non-degree students: RMB 4,800 yuan/person/year

Accommodation Fee: The apartment features a layout of “3 bedrooms, 2 living rooms and 2 balconies,1kitchen, ” with double occupancies in each bedroom. The accommodation fee is charged in three tiers based on the room conditions:

RMB2,600 yuan /person/year

RMB 3,400 yuan /person/year

RMB 4,000 yuan /person/year

Note: Bedrooms are limited and allocated based on the order of registration and availability at the time of check-in.

Insurance Fee: RMB 800 yuan/year

Additional Fees:

Utilities(water,electricity)and Internet fees are self-covered.

Physical Examination Fee: RMB 560 yuan /year

Visa Application Fee: RMB 400 yuan /year

Fee for Textbooks: RMB 800 yuan/semester

All additional fees will be paid according to the actual costs.

IV.Scholarship Policy

Degree students: 25% of the first-year tuition (RMB 2,000 yuan) will be awarded as an enrollment scholarship and deducted from the first academic year’s tuition fee.

Ⅴ.Application Requirements

1.The Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens and meet the requirements of Document No.12 [2020] of the Ministry of Education with good health and compliance with Chinese laws and college regulations.

2.Age:Applicants must be at least 18 years old by September 1 of the enrollment year.

3. Language Proficiency

(1) Non-degree students must meet any one of the following conditions:

① Achieve a minimum TOEFL score of 40, or TOEFL Essential score of 4, or IELTS 4.0; 

② The applicant’s native language or official language is English, or the applicant possesses basic daily English communication skills; 

③ Pass and be certified in the English entrance test organized by the college.

(2) Degree students must meet any one of the following conditions:

① Achieve a minimum score of 180 in the new HSK Level 4 or above; 

② Applicants whose native language is Chinese, or who have received secondary education taught in Chinese, may be exempted from submitting HSK scores upon certification by the college; 

③ Achieve a minimum TOEFL score of 60, or TOEFL Essential score of 6, or IELTS 5.0; 

④ Pass and be certified in the English entrance test organized by the college.

Ⅵ. Application Process

1.Online Application

Visit the website https://ncuky.edu.cn/pxzxjxjyb/Intl_Stu_Affairs.htm, to create an account, fill out the application form and submit the application materials online.

2. Required documents and materials (scanned originals + notarized Chinese-English translations)

*Passport front page (valid until at least December 2027), visa page for entry to China (if applicable), and the latest entry page (if applicable).

*High School Diploma or Pre-graduation Certificate (degree-seeking applicants only)

*High School Transcript.

HSK Test Score Report(Chinese-taught programs only)

*Proof of Financial Capacity or Financial Guarantee (minimum USD 5,000 );

*English Proficiency Certificate (e.g.TOEFL/IELTS) or College English Entrance Exam Pass Certificate(English-taught programs only).

Study Performance Statement from Previous Institution ( for applicants with prior study experience in China)

*Physical Examination Report issued within the past 6 months;

*No Criminal Record Certificate issued within the last 6 months;

A resent Passport-style photo taken within the last 2 months (2-inch, white background, no frame, 320x240 pixels, JPG format, named with passport number).

Non-Chinese/English documents need notarized translations. You need to submit originals for verification upon enrollment and bring copies.

2. Interview and Written Test

Applicants who pass the documents review will proceed to the interview and written test stages. The dates and format for the interview and written test will be notified via email after the documents review. Exceptional outstanding applicants may be exempt from the interview upon experts’ evaluation.

1. Application Period: Fall semester: June 1 to August 15.

2. Admission Period:

Physical Examination Form for Foreigners issued within the past 6 months;
